Wisconsin Rural Development delivers a variety of assistance through its Rural Housing Service, to support the housing needs of rural people (residing in communities up to 20,000 population) who are unable to get a conventional loan from a bank or other lending institution.
The Guaranteed Rural Housing Loan Program provides moderate-income families with access to affordable home ownership in eligible rural areas. Approved GRH lenders provide 30-yr. loans using the current interest rate. Requires no down payment, and loan closing costs and repairs up to the property's appraised value can be financed.
