Homeless coordinator assists in applications with homeless individuals. When working with an individual to get SS or SSI, be sure to alert the Homeless Coordinator that the individual is homeless. Also, the Social Security Disability Determination Bureau has identified people to work with homeless individuals. These specialized channels should help expedite claims for homeless people

Work incentives and Planning Assistance Program (WIPA) - WIPA Benefits Specialists help SS-D/SSI beneficiaries who are interested in working to understand the effects of work on their benefits. Ticket to Work Program - A voluntary program that offers SS-D and SSI beneficiaries, age 18 through 64, expanded opportunities to obtain the services and supports they need to work. SSA issues 'tickets' to beneficiaries with disabilities that can be used to get assistance from approved service providers called "employment Networks" (ENs).
