The mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
Vision: The vision of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to be the leading public health resource on kidney health in Wisconsin and to reduce the impact of chronic kidney disease (CKD) on those who are at-risk or affected by CKD.
Services: Free brochures on diabetes, high blood pressure, dialysis and transplantation. Free medical identification jewelry for anyone with chronic kidney disease, on dialysis or who is a transplant recipient or living donor. Free educational programs on living kidney donation and transplantation. Free diabetes/kidney health screenings in local community settings.
