Mercyhealth at Home Hospice offers patients physical, emotional, and spiritual care during the most difficult times. Hospice care is a special way of caring for a patient whose illness cannot be cured. Mercyhealth at Home Hospice uses a team approach that includes family, nurses, social workers, physicians, clergy and volunteers, all working together to plan and coordinate care. This includes teaching family members how to comfort and care for their loved one and each other.
Family or friends providing care in the home can call for the help of the hospice nurse 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A team nurse will come to the patient's home whenever needed and appropriate. Bereavement counseling offered at no charge for family and friends.
Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran's administration, private insurance providers, and many HMOs typically cover hospice. Private payments also accepted.
Business Office Hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Nursing staff is available 24/7 for patients and families.
