Description:
Area Agency on Aging of Dane County develops policies, prioritizes funding, and oversees county aging services. It collaborates with local organizations, elected representatives, public / private planners, and service providers, coordinates the Senior Nutrition Program and is the lead agency for elder abuse investigation in Dane County.
Case Managers can provide information and coordination for the following:
- Home assistance with light housekeeping, laundry, lawncare, and minor home repairs
- Prescription and health insurance assistance
- Assessment of eligibility for federal, state, and county programs
- Respite care options
- Support groups, including caregiver support
- Resources to address elder abuse and neglect
- Financial and utility assistance programs
- Recreational, socialization, and volunteer programs
