Adaptive Equipment Loan Closet, Advisory Committee, Alzheimers Family and Caregiver Support Program, Caregiver Support, Craft Shop, Family Caregiver Support, Food Pantry, Fuel Assistance, Health Screening, Homestead Credit Assistance, Incontinent Garments, Information and Assistance, Intergenerational Programs, Medicare Prescription Drug Program, Newsletters, Outreach, Phone Discounts,Recreational Activities, Resource Directory, Senior Citizen Centers, Tele-care, Transportation Services, Vision Aid Loan Library, Volunteer Opportunities, etc.
The Clark County Aging Office is a county agency funded by federal, state, county and local funds as well as participant contributions.
The Aging Office strives to ensure that all older persons regardless of income, have access to information, services and opportunities that preserve dignity and enhance self-reliance and well-being. Our goal is to make these services accessible and affordable.
Clark County has nine Nutrition Centers located throughout the county. Meals are served in both a congregate setting and delivered to the frail homebound. seven centers are open five days a week.Two centers are open four days a week. Frozen weekend meals for those who need them are provided. Whenever feasible, menu modifications are made for people on special diets. To qualify for homebound meal deliveries, a physicians order is required.
Nutritional supplements are available at cost. A physicians order is required.
