Description:
Government grant program serving Marathon County residents designed to help replace failing private, on-site sewage systems, if they are discharging waste:
*To the surface
*Into the zone of bedrock, surface water or ground water, or
*Into ground within 3 feet of seasonal saturation or ground water
The failing private sewage system must have been constructed prior to July 1, 1978; family income must be under $45,000/yr. (If the family income is over $32,000/yr, the grant amount is pro-rated).
