Description:
WISPACT allows beneficiaries to retain assets that are not counted by various public benefits programs such as supplemental security income and medical assistance.
Contact the executive director or the beneficiary specialist for additional information. Detailed program features are further explained in the brochure and on the website.
The WISPACT Trusts help provide for the special needs of people with a disability while safeguarding their public benefits and placement on government waiting lists. Parents and others can place money into a trust, which is pooled with other people's funds, invested, and managed by a professional trustee. Money from the trusts can be used to improve and maintain the quality of life and independence of people with disabilities.
Transportation, dental services, medical care not covered by public benefits, representative payee services, social interactions, case management and care coordination are often purchased from the money place in a trust. Other typical purchases include clothing, personal grooming and household products, phone and cable.
