Adult education programs. In partnerships with local residents and organizations, as well as the University of Wisconsin, Extension Waukesha County develops innovative educational programs that:
Strengthen communities by working with residents, stakeholders and organizations to identify and address unique learning needs that address safety, neighborhood improvement, Small Business Retention and Expansion, and community public opinions.
Build local leadership by partnering with agencies, businesses, and local, state and federal government units.
Encourage sustainable and profitable agricultural and horticultural businesses.
Provide education on horticulture practices by consumers and the commercial industry (i.e. pesticides, herbicides) in order to protect and enhance our environment.
Teach limited-income families, youth and elderly in the areas of nutrition, food safety, physical activity, and resource management.
Extension educators work together, sharing resources in order to develop and deliver programs that respond to issues identified by our communities.
