Representative Payee Program is for individuals who require a representative be appointed to manage and safeguard their financial interests. This program can act on the client's behalf to ensure their safety and well-being.
Payee services include:
• Managing Social Security and other benefits
• Receipt and deposit of benefit payments in financial institutions
• Authorization and payments for client's personal and medical needs
• Developing and monitoring a monthly budget
• Applying for additional benefits client may be eligible for such as medical assistance, SSI and FoodShare
• Reporting changes that affect client's benefits
• Reporting monthly earned income and annual reports as needed
