Description:
The mission is to assure safe, stable, supportive and structured housing to help increase opportunities for homeless families or single parent with children to achieve goals that empower them to become self-sufficient, self-confident and enable them to secure permanent housing. Residents of the program work with their case manager to establish a personal, strengths-based goal plan to include emphasis in the following areas: education/vocation; financial debt reduction; housing options; personal/emotinoal goals; spirituality. Must be homeless and 18 years of age and older, employed or actively seeking work and/or participating in educational activities, Housing Choice Voucher eligible, demonstrate previous attempts towards self-sufficiency, if there is a substance abuse history, may need to participate in AODA therapy and if non compliant with area shelters, eligibility is withdrawn.
