Description:
Ravenwood Behavioral Health is a secure state-only licensed nursing facility specializing in treating individuals with mental illness and challenging behavior. The treatment focus at Ravenwood is psychosocial and psychiatric rehabilitation in order to return the individual to community living. As a state-only licensed facility, Ravenwood does not accept Medical Assistance. However, MA benefits still apply to medications, therapy services and physician visits.
Each resident of Ravenwood receives a comprehensive evaluation to determine the appropriate interventions for the individual to gain the necessary tools and behaviors to function with as much self-determination and independence as possible.
Ravenswood Behavioral Health is located in the same building as Lakeview Health Center, which is a nursing facility and ICF-MR specializing in individuals with difficult behaviors due to chronic mental illness, dementia, developmental disability or related disorder. Lakeview Health Center has been in operation for more than 100 years.
