Description:
Central Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled is a residential facility operated by the Department of Health Services.
Short Term Assessment Program provides detailed comprehensive assessment of the individual's current status, responds to referral question and provides recommendations for supporting the individual in his/her community living setting. Length of stay is 5 - 28 days.
Short Term Care Unit provides evaluation, consultation and treatment for improved state of health and well-being for children or adults with developmental disabilities residing in the community.
The Evaluations and Treatment program provides evaluation, treatment, intensive rehabilitation and training for at-risk, medically involved children and adults with developmental disabilities. Post-operative care and treatment are provided. the length of admission may be up to 3 months.
The Physical Assessment Program provides consultation for seizures, positioning and feeding, as well as rep0itatiory evaluation with dental, orthopedic and equipment assessments..
The Developmental Evaluation Center provides services for individuals whose impairment may be quite variable with emotional/behavioral problems often coexisting with mental retardation. Comprehensive assessments are provided with planning and follow-up services to families and community agencies.
