The facility offers a Senior Meal Site. The Senior Meal Site opens at 11:30am; Monday through Friday. Lunches include an entre, potato, rice or noodles, hot vegetable, fruit or salad, bread, milk, coffee and dessert. Low fat and chocolate milk and sugar free desserts are available.
A suggested donation of $2.00 per meal helps the Senior Meal Program with the cost of the meal. Please note: Everyone needs a diners card. Register at the dining site between 9:30am and 11:15 am. Proof of age (60 years or older) and residency is required to register. Once registered, you may use your diners card to make a reservation at any Milwaukee County Senior Meal Dining Center. Reserve at least one day in advance before 12:30pm by phone or at the dining site.
You can access menus by the month and meal sites at the Milwaukee County Department on Aging's web site: www.milwaukee.gov/county/aging.
- - - - - Lapham Park is a subsidized housing complex owned and operated by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM). Through the creative use of public and private funds, the model of a Continuing Care Retirement Community was superimposed on this publicly-funded housing development to facilitate true "aging in place" for low-income seniors. The major partners in this venture include: HACM, the Milwaukee County Department on Aging, SET Ministry, Inc., Community Care Organization, St. Mary's Family Practice, and the Lapham Park Resident Organization.
